Who Can Apply

  • You're 18 or older
  • You have a valid Jamaican TRN (Tax Registration Number)
  • You have a valid government-issued ID

Required Documents

ID Check

  • Photo of both sides of your Voter's ID or Driver's Licence (or the photo page of your Passport)
  • A selfie, so we know it's really you
  • Passport holders: a bank officer will independently verify your passport before your application can proceed.

ID Check Tips

  • Make sure your ID is not expired and not torn or faded.
  • Find good lighting — no glare on the ID, face clearly visible.
  • Use a plain background — no people, photos, or reflections.

Getting Your Signature Ready

  • Sign a blank sheet of paper
  • Take a clear photo of it
  • Snap it now, or during sign-up if you're on your phone

Take photos or attach files. Each file must be 5 MB or smaller.

You'll get a reference number. That means you're done!

You're finished the moment you see your reference number. Keep it somewhere safe.

What documents will I need?

Start with the two things everyone needs, then check the section for your product.

Everyone needs these two things

A valid government-issued ID (National ID, driver's licence, or passport) and your TRN.

Starter Account

  • Government-issued ID and your TRN — that's it.

Standard Account

  • ID and TRN, plus proof of address
  • Proof of where your money comes from (recent payslips, a job letter, or last year's tax return)

Proof of source of funds (any one)

  • Last 3 months' payslips
  • A job letter no older than 3 months
  • Previous year's stamped tax return
  • Letter from a publicly registered or chartered accountant (PAB or ICAJ member)
  • In-house financial statements or interim management report (12+ months)

Proof of address (any one)

  • Utility, phone, or cable/internet bill
  • Bank or credit card statement
  • Letter from a Justice of the Peace (stamped and signed)

You'll need

  • Personal and employment details (includes your basic identification and contact information, as well as details about your current employment and income)
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income (recent payslips or a job letter)
  • If you are paid monthly, you will need the last 3 payslips. If you are paid fortnightly (every 2 weeks), you will need the last 6 payslips. If you are paid weekly, you will need the last 12 payslips.

Borrowing over J$2 million

  • A document showing what the loan is for. No evidence required below this amount.

  • Last 6 months' payslips (commissioned or variable income)
  • If you are paid monthly, you will need the last 3 payslips. If you are paid fortnightly (every 2 weeks), you will need the last 6 payslips. If you are paid weekly, you will need the last 12 payslips.
  • A job letter no older than 3 months

You'll need

Personal details, proof of address, employment details and proof of income are the same as other loans (ID, TRN, bills or statements, payslips or a job letter). Invoices or documents showing the loan's purpose are required for all motor vehicle loans.
If you are paid monthly, you will need the last 3 payslips. If you are paid fortnightly (every 2 weeks), you will need the last 6 payslips. If you are paid weekly, you will need the last 12 payslips.

For new car loans

  • Pro-forma invoice
  • C87, as applicable on newly imported vehicles
  • Valuation report (no older than 6 months, from a panel valuator) for new vehicles from used-car dealers
  • Copy of Certificate of Fitness and Registration
  • Duty concession letter from the MOF (where applicable)
  • Authorization letter from the Trade Board (where applicable)
  • CarFax or InstaVin report for left-hand drive vehicles

For pre-owned car loans

  • Pro-forma invoice
  • C87, as applicable on newly imported vehicles
  • Valuation report (no older than 6 months, from a panel valuator)
  • Copy of the Title
  • Copy of Certificate of Fitness and Registration
  • Duty concession letter from the MOF (where applicable)
