About Norman Thompson Vice President of Corporate Banking

Norman Thompson was appointed Vice President of Corporate Banking in October 2018. As VP of Corporate Banking Norman leads a team of relationship managers to provide corporate banking services, including corporate financing, syndicated loans, cash management accounts and trade financing to a designated portfolio of high-value, corporate clientele.

Prior to this appointment he served at FGB in the roles of Assistant Vice President, Business Banking and more recently Vice President, Personal and Business Banking. He has also held other senior leadership positions with National Commercial Bank where he served for ten (10) years and First Heritage Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. (formerly Churches Cooperative Credit Union Ltd.) for fifteen (15) years.

A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Norman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance and an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA). He also holds the designation of Chartered Banker MBA (CBMBA) from the Bangor University in the UK. Norman is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland (MCIBS). He is family centric and gives back to a number of community activities including youth mentorship, volunteerism, presenter and trainer in entrepreneurship and MSME business development. He also serves as Director on the Board of the Caribbean Association of Bankers (CAB).
